Open house day in Bremen – with the family festival conceptualized by JOKE, Airbus sent a strong message of unity, company pride, and passion for flying. Under the motto “Experience the Joy of Flying Up Close,” an unforgettable employee event was created for 12,000 guests – employees, families, and friends – at the Bremen site. In just four months from the official project start to event day, we developed an XXL event that perfectly combined information, emotion, and live entertainment.
Visitors experienced pure aviation adventures – with exclusive factory tours, air shows featuring historic aircraft, presentations of the mega transporters BelugaXL and A400M, and children’s interactive activities like mini pilot airfields and highjump. Slackline workshops and an airplane train created memorable interactive moments.
The diverse stage and entertainment program ranged from Star Wars characters, flying basketball players, and walking acts dressed as pilots to a marching brass band – all part of an exhilarating live experience. Sustainability played a key role: with the event app by JOKE’s subsidiary DGS (link), cashless payment systems, an e-shuttle train, and recycling concepts.
Our Bremen regional team designed, managed, and produced the entire project – with 600 crew members, 30 JOKE experts including participant management, and maximum efficiency with minimal lead time. Setting up four major event areas and equipping dozens of exhibition stands and multiple halls took a full week.
A first-class event – made in Bremen.
